what a week

feeling so blessed! i'm SO happy i passed the NCLEX so i never have to retake a test like that ever again!! and i got my application to apply for the nursing license more quickly than i thought i would, so i should be getting my nursing license in a month. these past few days i've been working full-time in irvine and i really empathize with my husband a lot more. he works full-time AND does school full-time! this will be his life at least for 3 more years, before he gets his bachelors degree.  i already was exhausted just coming home from work to make dinner and pack our lunches (and it really isn't even that hard! i just wanted to sleep lol). it was the first time i passed out as he was praying for us before we slept last night. woops! imagine my confusion when i opened my eyes and it was day! i told him i was tired because i was the weaker vessel. HA! ;) in a sense, it's times like these i'm glad we don't have a baby yet. my mom has been throwing fits sayi...

gurrrlll

Sooooo...guess who's working together AGAIN?!?!?! HAHAHAHAHHAHAHA!!!! Jamie and I are both working at the Superior Courts of Orange County in Irvine, CA. Unfortunately we aren't in the same departments, but we still find reasons to hang out! Love her :)

lonely..i'm mr.lonely!

Well, not really. But I'm home alone because Kevin is gone on Tuesdays...his schedule goes like this: Work from 6am-ish to 2pm-ish..then a 2-3 hour drive to school..then from 6pm-10pm he has class, and sometimes he stays later to hang out with Vince and Ceejay...so I don't see him until midnight or 1 am. And when he arrives, I'm happy and jumping and really energetic and wanna catch up! And what does he do? Pass out!!!! Sigh. lol. We're also wondering if he's going to go to pursue  a Masters Degree in the future. I told him that if he does that, which will be in about 3 years, it will just be the same thing...him being sleepy all the time! We like to say that it's really dependent on if we have kids or not by then, but I told him I'd just lay the baby on his lap as he types out his homework. I'll be at home all day and the baby can just stare at him like he's an animal...a furry, fluffy tall animal :P Did you know that it's advisable for new ...

looking forward

Jamielyne, one of my best friends, did so much for my wedding. She also spent a lot of moolah, poor thing (in more sense than one!) lol I tell her I'll pay her back once I'll plan her wedding, but one of the gifts she gave me was a pair of books called "Shepherding a Child's Heart" by Tedd Tripp (plus the Parent's Handbook). I was really excited to read it, but also kinda scared. I was talking to my discipler Ate Rona (Ate "Ah-tehh" means 'older sister' in the Filipino language) and she was encouraging me to read a few parenting books a few months ago. My immediate answer was "No way! If I read more, then it will happen sooner than I want!" She told me I was being ridiculous, which I was, but it's kinda based off of experience. I kind of went haywire with this "Omg I wanna be a Proverbs 31 wife!!!" obsession and read a whole bunch of books (I wanna say anywhere between 10-20) but it could be less, it seems like an over...

same funny frequency

Kev and I arrived home after bible study at around 12:30am, and saw his brother Mike in the garage. He usually leaves earlier than us so we were passing by him, and I asked: "Yo Mike! Did you like the message?" "Yeah I really enjoyed it!" "Really? Even though it's paraphrased?" I chuckled and sauntered by, and Kevin laughed really hard for like 5 minutes! And this, my friend, is why we became friends almost a decade ago :) Partially the reason why we fell in love with each other too. What a stud.

one of the many benefits of being married

Tonight I had some friends from my college fellowship AACF (Asian American Christian Fellowship) over for dinner. It was SO much fun! Some of them I hadn't seen in a while, and others I see at church functions various times a week...but man, there was so much laughter and just too much catching up to do! I spent a lot of time figuring out what to make for dinner, going to Fresh n Easy and Wal mart (and going down the aisles freaking out because I'm not used to grocery shopping for food, having to pray because of my insecurities with cooking) and made some testers so when Kevin came home he told me which he liked most, and I made those right before everyone arrived. It is SO nice being married because we get to invite people over and minister to people more often now! Can you imagine-all those hours wasted during the "dating/engagement" period? Now we live together, and in a beautiful home, and can invite others over! HUGE PLUS TO BEING MARRIED (and good for me, to p...

happy one month of marriage!

YAY!!!! Today marks the first month of Kevin and me being husband and wife! But how did we celebrate? BY BEING IN SCHOOL! We are so romantic! LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAME!!! That's what we get for getting married young!! I had an IV Certification class from 8am-5:30pm, and Kevin had class in Santa Clarita from 6pm-10pm (and tonight he's going to be hanging out with the guys over there later for In-N-Out and some guy bonding time!) I miss my husband :( My brother-in-law is watching Lord of the Rings loudly as I type this, and my father-in-law just offered me some popcorn. Gausselins! lol. Ahh it's so nice being married! The Lord is SO good to provide me with a godly man who seeks to lead me spiritually and love me the way Christ loves the Church (Ephesians 5, baby!) So blessed to be married! Honestly, life is just so nice. Not perfect. But there's nothing like it! I don't even know how to explain it. I was saved 4 years ago, and halfway through that when I learned mor...
