Elianna's Birth Story

It seems to be a trend among my daughters to have very dramatic birth stories. Evangeline takes the cake for the scariest day of my life, but this entire pregnancy up to the birth were more taxing on this mama's body overall. Even my doctor, who's a high-risk OBGYN, told me a week beforehand: "I feel like this pregnancy has lasted a long time for you. Some of my other patients seem to be in and out super quick, but it's been so slow. You've had like every symptom under the sun. You poor thing!" I was like "THANK YOU for sympathizing!" This doc has seen me from the very beginning so it meant a lot that he didn't think I was lookin' like a walking Quasimoto for no reason at all. At 37 weeks exactly on September 16, I had a planned c-section scheduled for 8:30 am. I was so excited to give birth so I could finally meet my second baby girl!
